Welcome to the study “Perceptions of Advertising for Sustainable Fashion”, conducted by the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences of the University of Amsterdam (UvA).

Why is this research performed?
The purpose of this study is to explore how people respond to advertisements related to sustainable fashion products. We aim to better understand people's perceptions and impressions of these advertisements.

What happens during my participation?

Minimum Age Requirement: You must be at least 16 years old to participate in this study.

Residency Requirement: Due to data protection regulations, only individuals currently residing in GDPR-compliant countries (e.g., EU/EEA countries or the UK) are eligible to participate.

Duration: The entire study will take approximately 5–8 minutes to complete.

Procedure:
You will start by answering some general questions about yourself and your views on certain topics. Then, you'll view an advertisement and share your impressions through a few follow-up questions. The study ends with a short explanation about its purpose.

Risks and Discomforts: This study does not contain any anticipated risks. However, if at any point you feel discomfort, you are free to leave the study immediately by simply closing your internet browser.

Benefits: While there is no direct reward for participating, your input will contribute to research aimed at understanding how people view and respond to sustainable fashion advertisements.

Is my participation voluntary?
Your participation is entirely voluntary. You may stop at any point without any consequences, and you do not need to provide a reason.

Is my participation anonymous?
Your responses will be completely anonymous, and no personal identifiers will be collected or stored. The data will be used solely for academic purposes and will not be shared with any third parties.
